Tatianna Wise (Member IPA, Assoc. Member APAS, BSW, AASW) is a very experienced Psychoanalyst and Psychotherapist with an immense respect for the inner world of every patient she sees.
Tatianna has more than 30 years experience both in Australia and overseas. She uses the methods of psychoanalysis, psychoanalytic and psychodynamic psychotherapy, she focuses on recognising the rich inner world within each person and how it affects them – through their relationship with themselves and others, their creativity, work, health, friendships, and all other aspects of living.
Therapy for Tatianna is a safe space each person creates with the therapist, as an opportunity to explore their inner world – their thoughts, feelings, memories, experiences, perceptions, and how they manifest in their behaviour patterns and life choices. Developing awareness of this inner world and its workings provides each person with the possibility to have a better mastery of their own life. It provides the opportunity to develop their own mind and by that enabling a more authentic life that feels truly theirs. Understanding these dynamics gives the individual the freedom to truly choose their pathways in life. The frequency of sessions is extremely important and has great impact on the process and what is enabled to surface and be explored, understood and worked through. For this reason, Tatianna sees people at least once a week.
Tatianna has extensive experienced in the following areas:
Sexual assault and abuse (childhood and adult)
Family violence (post separation)
Grief and loss
Tatianna is also a Registered Social Worker. As such she is able to offer Medicare rebates for patients with a Mental Health Care Plan.
