Rodrigo Latorre

Rodrigo (MPsych Clin) is a  Senior Clinical Psychologist with a welcoming and respectful approach to working from a psychodynamic perspective.

Rodrigo has nearly 20 years of experience working with a variety of people, including children, adolescents, adults, couples and families.

Rodrigo is registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and is endorsed as a Clinical Psychologist. He completed a Master of Clinical Psychology writing his research thesis on Psychodynamic Psychotherapy for Personality Disorders.

Rodrigo has also studied evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Mindfulness. These evidence-based approaches are integrated into a therapeutic approach that is grounded in Psychoanalytic theory and the practice of Psychodynamic Psychotherapy.

Rodrigo initially gained experience as a Clinical Psychologist in Santiago, Chile training in Psychoanalysis and Family Systems Theory before moving to Australia. Rodrigo has worked in Hospitals, Clinics, Schools and private practice in Chile, Switzerland, United States and Australia.

Rodrigo brings a welcoming, understanding and respectful approach to the therapeutic space.

Ongoing sessions with Rodrigo occur at a fixed rate of $230 which is set to include an after-hours fee, as well as the surcharge for seeing a clinical psychologist on a Mental Health Care Plan.
