Position Available:
An ongoing part-time contractor position available for a Clinical, Counselling, or General Registered Psychologist with Psychoanalytic or Psychodynamic orientation, or training.
Early, Mid, or Late Career Psychologists are welcome to apply.
Currently, due to having so many wonderful male Psychologists already working at The Melbourne Center of Psychotherapy we have a preference for female Psychologists.
We are looking for Registered Psychologists who wish to work in person.

Selection Criteria:
We are looking for a dedicated, passionate, and reliable Psychologist:
Hold full registration with AHPRA.
Training and/or authentic knowledge and appreciation of Psychoanalytic/Psychodynamic approaches.
Have or are eligible to obtain a Medicare Provider Number.
Experienced in working independently and as part of a clinical team.
Experience working with children, adolescents, adults, older adults, couples, families and/or groups.
Experience in counselling, diagnosis, assessments, report writing, and professional communication.

Administrative Assistant at The Melbourne Centre of Psychotherapy in South Melbourne
Lookingfor an Administrative Assistant who will do an exceptional job of supporting and providing assistance to our Director and attending to the needs of our patients and our Psychologists & Psychotherapists.
We are looking for a compassionate, authentic, trust worthy, and capable person who will enjoy providing support to our director, our team and our dear clients.
ABOUT US
The Melbourne Centre of Psychotherapy and is a boutique Psychodynamic Psychology practice in South Melbourne. We consistently strive to provide the very best care for our patients and a warm supportive environment for the Psychologists, Psychotherapists, and support staff that work at the Centre.
THE POSITION INVOLVES:
Booking in new patients with the most appropriate practitioner for their presenting issues
Managing new patients to assure they feel welcome. Including development of rapport and on occasion when needed risk assessment
Liaising with existing patients about rescheduling appointments, wait lists, Medicare rebates, and payments
Assisting our Director with administrative tasks related to running a Psychological practice
Assisting our Psychologists and Psychotherapists with administrative tasks
General reception, administration, and book-keeping tasks
Attending to patients in the waiting room. Assuring the space is clean and tidy.
Taking care of our two lovely therapy animals
KEY SELECTION CRITERIA
Must have at least one year of experience as an administrative assistant, preferably in the field of health with experience in protecting confidential patient data.
Preferably have three years of study in management, psychology, or social work

WORKING HOURS:
Two or more days per week with candidate willing to extend hours in the future. Must be available Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and/or Thursday
