Christian Dinse is a Registered Psychologist who is passionate about how Psychodynamic Psychotherapy can improve an individual’s well-being, facilitate self-exploration, foster positive behavioural change and improve relationships.

Christian obtained his registration through the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). He is a Member of the Australian Psychological Society.

Christian is a warm and compassionate Psychologist who utilises a range of evidence-based therapies to support patients with mental health and well-being challenges. He combines his intellectually rigorous approach and collaborative counselling style to provide effective counselling in line with agreed therapeutic goals.

Christian’s work is informed by a broad range of evidence-based approaches and perspectives, including Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy, Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, Attachment Theory, Interpersonal therapy (ITP), and Cognitive Behavioural therapy (CBT). Christian has utilised these approaches with a variety of people who have experienced a broad range of issues including:

  • Adult survivors of childhood trauma
  • Relationship Difficulties

Christian has experience working with Adults, Adolescents and Children who are experiencing complex mental health and well-being challenges. He has provided Psychological therapy, Psychotherapy and Psychological Assessment in a range of different settings including employment services, education, and private practice. In the past Christian has also worked closely with the Department of Education and schools in Victoria, through the provision of cognitive assessments to students suspected of intellectual developmental disorder. 

Christian currently works in person at The Melbourne Centre of Psychotherapy on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday mornings 8am-1pm.
